Bruce founded the McPeek Charity Golf Tournament and was the driving force behind it for more than 30 years. Today, the McPeek Golf Scramble continues that legacy by raising money for Dayton CarePortal and its work with vulnerable children and families in crisis.

Bruce McPeek lived a life marked by faith, humility, service, and steady commitment to others. He loved Jesus, he loved people, and he loved the game of golf. Those loves shaped the way he served his country, his community, his church, and the many friends and families whose lives he touched.

Bruce honorably served in the United States Navy during the Korean War. Following his military service, he continued serving his country as a Civil Servant at Wright Patterson Air Force Base. After retiring from federal service, Bruce remained committed to serving others through his work as the custodian at Centerville Community Church.

Whether in uniform, in public service, at church, or on the golf course, Bruce gave of himself with consistency and care. His life reminds us that lasting contribution is often built through everyday faithfulness, relationships, and a willingness to serve wherever there is a need.
